Our story

Open since November 2023

Mezcal Coctelería opened in late November 2023 as the first agave spirits cocktail bar in Vietnam. The idea was simple and a little stubborn: give mezcal and tequila the room they deserve, and share Mexico's flavours in every way a glass allows, from flights and traditional serves to cocktails and infusions.

The room sits up a staircase beside Masa Taqueria, beneath antique brick arches and candlelight. It is made for date nights and intimate evenings, and now and then for music.

Inspired by

Mexican spirit culture, in the heart of Hội An

The inspiration is Mexico's own way with agave: tequila sipped beside sangrita, mezcal poured neat, dried chilies and spices steeped into the spirit itself. We import the chilies and spices we need, then meet Vietnam halfway, with sấu, ambarella, rambutan, jasmine, Vietnamese basil and robusta coffee.

Alongside its agave-focused cocktail menu, Mezcal features an A Bit Odd Coravin wine list, offering a carefully selected range of wines by the glass. Every white on it comes from Alsace.

Passionate bartenders bring knowledge and creativity to every serve, while the space sets the mood for date nights, intimate evenings, and occasional music nights. Ask them anything about tequila and mezcal: nothing pleases them more.
