A first tequila flight
If tequila is new to you, begin with a flight: three 30 ml pours side by side, served the traditional way with sangrita, a chaser of tomato juice, orange juice, lime and chili.
The mixed flight is the one to start with. Altos Blanco, Altos Reposado and Lunazul Añejo: one spirit at three ages. A blanco has barely rested; a reposado has spent two to eleven months in barrel; an añejo, one to three years. Taste them in that order and the wood tells its own story.
From there, go deeper with a flight of blancos, of reposados, or of añejos, the last ending on 1800 Cristalino, a clarified añejo. Or take any bottle on the shelf as a 45 ml pour, from Jose Cuervo Silver to Don Julio 1942.
And if you are not sure, ask. Our managers know their tequila and mezcal, and there is nothing they would rather talk about.
