Our philosophy
Traditional serves, and new ones
Mezcal and tequila carry generations of craft, and they deserve the attention any great spirit gets. So the list runs both ways: the spirit on its own, in 45 ml pours and flights served with sangrita, and cocktails that take it somewhere new.

From one staircase
November 2023
Mezcal Coctelería opens upstairs at 38 Phan Châu Trinh: the first agave spirits cocktail bar in Vietnam.
A sister
Hèm Hội An, Sake Việt by Mezcal Coctelería, brings the same care to Vietnamese sake and rice spirits in a heritage house on Nguyễn Duy Hiệu.

Culinary approach
Chilies, spices and the fruit of Vietnam
Our infusions start with dried Mexican chilies we import ourselves: árbol, guajillo, chipotle, pasilla, mulato. Then they meet Vietnam halfway, with sấu, xí muội, ambarella, rambutan, jasmine and robusta coffee.
The margarita rims go further still, from Vietnamese shrimp salt and ant salt to Mexican agave worm salt. The menu is all drinks; for tacos, Masa Taqueria is at the foot of the stairs.
